During the last couple of years there have been several “new” dietary strategies which are supposed to help bodybuilders get extremely lean. One thing these diets have in common is a fairly high protein intake, somewhere in the neighborhood of 25-30% of daily calories. Another common feature is to reduce carbohydrate intake in favor of higher fat intake. Some go as far as to limit carbs to 30-50 grams a day, while providing around 70% of the calories from fat.
