It’s never too late for anyone to commence a fitness program and for women over forty years of age this is especially true – particularly if they’ve never trained seriously and consistently. The benefits of an exercise and diet regimen are undeniably profound assuming you train smart and efficient. The amount of time needed to mount a Parrillo-style fitness program per day and per week is minimal assuming you work smart and work hard. You needn’t turn your world upside down and spend countless hours in the gym in order to fit fitness into your life; on the other hand, I have little sympathy for those women who tell me they have no time for fitness – if you are unfit, fat, out of shape and over forty, you’d better make time for fitness or you’ll be setting yourself up for serious health problems down the road. Being overweight is not only unsightly, it is dangerous: too much body fat will ruin your appearance and wreck your health.
